Review of Conair Flat Iron 2″ Ceramic Straightener – Dual Voltage.

ConAir’s last flat iron was a big fat lemon. I loathed it so much, I refused to buy another one by this company. I went out and spent about eighty bucks for a HAI straighter instead. It’s worth every penny, believe you me. But then I tried ConAir’s new ceramic straightener. And man, was I floored.

I had to borrow a friend’s, since I’d left mine at home. What a surprise! Heats up quickly, and hair glides smoothly past the plates, leaving hair not only straight, but shiny. I had gone to sleep with just-from-the-shower wet hair and woke up with a horrible resmeblance to some feathery 70’s boufant do. A sweep over with the Conair ceramic flat iron left me with soft, shiny and straight hair in less than 15 minutes. I’ve had nothing but frizzy trouble since moving to SW Florida, and my hair refuses to go flat without the use of a good flat iron. I’m happy to say this particular ConAir flat iron makes up for a multitude of past sins, and doesn’t put a dent in your budget. Comes with 2 brush attachments that slide on the side of the plates. Also features a “power” and “turbo power” button, which I can only assume means “turbo” is volcano-like hot, which is exactly what it felt like.

This just doesn’t heat hot enough. There is no discernible difference in the heat settings. Sometimes it feels like it has turned itself off even if the indicator light is on high. But what I really didn’t like is a tag on the cord indicating it contains lead and that I should wash my hands after use!! What is that about?? Who wants to jump out of bed to wash their hands after this thing has supposedly eased their cramps (or other aches & pains) before sleep?? Does this mean all my appliance cords contain lead?? I will be forever washing my hands! How about just not putting lead in the cord??

I have had three neck surgeries and I live with chronic pain. And other than pain meds, this stuff is amazing!!
It actually takes the pain away.
I’m talkin 10 years of PAIN, but when I need instant relief, I can always count on Biofreeze. I’m really surprised that there aren’t any other reviews about this stuff!

Using this product for more than 2 years. It was recommended to me by a hair-stylist at a salon when I told him that I can’t find the right hair-gel for me. Either they make my hair too hard with the spikey look or are just too soft to hold my thick hairs.

This one works best in terms of optimum strength and the wet look. Amazon’s is good considering the price of $27 for a two-bottle pack…lot cheaper than most of the salons. But you need to keep checking as the price at Amazon keeps varying a lot.

I am a hair product junkie and this just didn’t quite give me a fix.It’s basically Frizz-ease with some added Argan oil.I was expected a higher concentration of the Argan oil, but it’s 5th on the list of ingredients – a fair amount, but not for what you are paying. (the top 5 ingredients of any item are basically what make the product) If something is going to be called ‘Moroccan Oil’, you’d expect it to be just that, right?

It’s very smoothing (hence the silcones at the top of the list of ingredients).Silicones will build on the hair and will eventually have to be stripped with a detoxing shampoo to remove the build-up.I have virgin naturally curly bi-racial hair with a fine texture (think R&B singer Mya).Silicone build-up on curly hair can be the devil so curlies beware. The smell is not too bad. Kind of musky. Just glad that I purchased through Amazon and got a great deal (50% of the normal price).

All in all, it Will suffice for a quick fix for minor frizz, but definitely not a ‘treatment’.For that, I highly recommend Eden Allure.They have 100% pure Argan oil available and it doubles as skin care. (not affiliated-just a lover of natural products) Speaking of which, Moroccal oil has color additives (D&C Yellow 11 and Red 17).

I have been at the dentist almost six months trying to get a night guard, but my experience was not good. So far, they have made three of them without any success. All of themstarted moving all my teeth and the biting started getting spoiled. On top of that, the cost of such night guard was U$ 340. I decided to give this one a try, and even though I had to try it twice, I finally could get the shape I needed. It is true that it is somewhat bulky and that sometimes it takes more than one to get it done well, bu it works MUCH BETTER than the one at the dentist office – which is adjusted by the assistant, not the dentist – and is also way much cheaper. It makes no sense at all to pay hundreds of dollars for just a piece of plastic that, as in my experience, does not work.

This unit would be perfect but for the fact that if it stays on the highest heat setting for more than 15-20 minutes, it shuts off.Sometimes it shuts off after only 5 minutes if not “warmed up” first on a lower setting.I read the product instructions backwards and forwards, and none of this was mentioned.There was a mention of the product shutting off, but it was caviated with the point that this was a very unlikely possibility.Well, I use the product twice a week–once on high for a deep conditioning, and then immediately after for a wet set on a lower setting–and it shuts off twice a week.It just elongates an already lengthy process.Extremely frustrating.
